22 Feb RECAP: DeLong’s at IPPE 2018
The International Production & Processing Expo is the world’s largest annual poultry, meat, and feed industry trade show of its kind. On January 30th to February 1st 2018, nearly 1200 exhibitors and 30,000 visitors attended the IPPA in Atlanta, GA.
The IPPE focuses on innovation by bringing together buyers and sellers of the latest technology and products and services. Attendees get the opportunity to learn from the experts and businesses are able to meet the customers they serve. Networking is an important part of the trade show as attendees are able to meet and rekindle old relationships with leaders across industries.
The DeLong family has been attending IPPE for generations. I’ve been coming to the IPPE basically my whole life. I first came with my grandparents when I was a kid. My kids have also been coming to IPPE too. I can remember being just an attendee when I was younger, seeing and visiting all the booths and exhibits. As our business grew over the years, when my mom took over, we started exhibiting too. We’ve been exhibiting probably close to 15 years now.
This year at the International Production & Processing Expo, we had our Multi-Purpose Skinner and the Redesigned Chicken Gizzard Repeeler on display for our customers to see firsthand. We met with hundreds of visitors, some customers and some potential new prospects. One of the greatest things about going to the IPPE is that it gives us the opportunity to strengthen relationships with our customers and partners in business. The IPPE gives us the opportunity to connect with our customers on a level that we cannot over the phone and to listen to their testimonials. We enjoyed getting to meet members of our community from around the world.
